Ophthalmic Technician/ Medical Assistant
The Technician assists the Ophthalmologist by gathering and documenting patient data associated with the patient's vision and eye health. Experience is preferred however we will train an applicant with interest and motivation. The desired candidate is detail oriented, has strong computer and communications skills, is organized, reliable and sensitive to the feelings of our patients. Our position would include but not be limited to, working up patients, taking histories, lensometry, refractometry, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, surgery coordination, contact lens training, as well as maintains cleanliness and order of the exam rooms during patient sessions. Our technicians work together to provide a cohesive positive patient experience. An applicant with medical experience, a COA, or COT is preferred but not required. High school graduate or equivalent.

Front Desk Receptionist /Patient Coordinator
Do you have quality customer service skills and a positive courteous manner? As one of our front desk representatives you greet patients and answer the phone creating a first impression of our medical practice. The desired candidate is professional with extreme attention to detail, sympathic to sensitive patient issues, exhibits accuracy while registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics and insurance information, and has strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Previous medical office and or receptionist experience is a plus. Computer proficiency a must. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Welcomes and greets all patients in person or on the phone with kindness, efficiency, and a pleasant disposition. Schedule apointments, tests, and surgeries. Assists with insurance documentation, eligibility and verification. Scans patient information. Collect and process copays and payments. Document communications accurately to the physicians or other coworkers. Oversee patient flow in the waiting area. Use standard office equipment and phones. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
